CREATIVE COPYWRITER

I was part of the creative team that landed the ZTE pitch for a top 50 design agency in London. ZTE are the world's fourth largest mobile phone manufacturer. I've worked on projects for Heathrow, Tesco, Sony, Canon, The National Trust, The Mr.Men etc. I wrote the copy, presented and pitched for a NHS rebrand contract as a freelancer for a creative design agency in London. The design agency won the contract. 

I prefer fun and creative advertising to the dull stuff, but I'm capable of writing the dull stuff too.

SOCIAL MEDIA SAVVY

I have over 100,00 Twitter followers and manage two company Twitter accounts, not including my own.

My tweets have appeared in The Telegraph, The Guardian, Buzzfeed, Huffington Post, NY Times, Channel 4 etc.  

AUTHOR

My second novel Life Knocks was shortlisted for the Dundee International Book Prize, judged by Stephen Fry and Philip Pullman. Nathan Filer, Costa Book Award Winner 2014, said of my first book "How to Hide for Humans" that it was the best money he ever spent. The BBC Comedy Cafe said I was the funniest guest they had on the show in 2013...

...So when I say I know a thing or two about words, I'm actually being modest (until this last sentence, where I have become a massive, egotistical monster of grotesque proportion).

CONTENT CREATOR

My blog "Thought Scratchings" has been viewed over 370,000 times. The highest number of views in one day is 1`12,483. Often my blogposts go viral - a recent post (I do love a good, intelligent rant) has been shared on Facebook over 7,000 times.

In 2014 my book was shortlisted for the most innovative blog in the UK by the National Blog Awards.

APPEARANCE

I have a funny looking bald head and a beard, and was recently laughed at by children while waiting to go into the cinema.
